Building Real Blockchain Solutions Through Practice
Our program started in early 2023 when we realized most people learning about decentralized applications were stuck watching theory videos. We built something different. Students work on actual dApp projects from week one, getting their hands dirty with smart contracts and blockchain integration.
Start Your ApplicationHow the Program Unfolds
We follow a structured path, but every cohort shapes the journey based on what they're building
Foundation and First Smart Contract
You'll write your first smart contract by day three. Sounds aggressive, but we've found jumping in works better than weeks of setup. We cover Solidity basics, testing frameworks, and deployment processes while you build a functional token contract.
Frontend Integration and User Experience
This is where things get real. You'll connect your contracts to actual interfaces using Web3.js and ethers.js. Students typically struggle here with wallet integration and transaction handling, which is exactly why we spend extra time on it.
Building Your Project
You pick what to build based on your interests. Past students have created NFT marketplaces, DAO voting systems, and DeFi protocols. We provide guidance but you make the architectural decisions and live with the consequences.
Security, Testing, and Deployment
The final stretch focuses on making your dApp production-ready. We cover security auditing, gas optimization, and mainnet deployment considerations. Your project goes live on testnet, and you present it to other students and local developers.
What Our Students Actually Build
Real numbers from our 2024 cohorts that show what's possible with focused work
Students launched functional applications on testnet within 18 weeks of starting
Across all projects, students wrote and deployed over 340 contracts during the program
Average time from starting the program to having a complete project portfolio ready
Most students who start finish with a working dApp they can demonstrate
Typical commitment outside of class time for successful project completion
Graduates have moved into development, consulting, and founding their own projects
Who Teaches This Stuff
Small team of developers who actually build dApps for clients between teaching sessions
Malin Svendsen
Lead Smart Contract Instructor
Spent four years building DeFi protocols before switching to teaching. Still consults on smart contract audits, which keeps the curriculum current with what's actually happening in production environments.
Lachlan Brennan
Frontend Integration Specialist
Came from traditional web development and made the blockchain jump in 2021. Handles all the Web3 integration teaching because he remembers what it's like to be confused by wallet connections.
Darina Sobotka
Project Mentor
Works with students during the project phase, helping them figure out architecture decisions and debugging when things break. Has a background in security auditing, so she's particular about code quality.
Next Cohort Opens September 2025
We're accepting applications now for the autumn session. Limited to 8 students so everyone gets proper attention. If you're serious about building dApps and can commit the time, let's talk about whether this fits what you're trying to do.
